Can you imagine any sort of furniture that becomes useless because it"s too comfortable? While it"s probably difficult to imagine this for most people, I have actually seen examples of that in real life. For instance, have you ever been to a big cinema? Not just some unknown cinema in a small town, but a real multiplex? If you have, then we might have had similar experience. I hate going to these cinemas because the chairs and sofas there are way too comfortable. I tend to fall asleep, especially if the movie is boring. It"s the same with office chairs. Of course, they have to provide an optimal feeling of comfort to the user. Just enough to make him or her focus on the job and not on the chair. But if the chair is too soft, too comfortable, like your living room sofa perhaps, the person will get lazy. Once we had an important meeting at work. The guests were seated in those extra comfy Office chairs that I"m so skeptical about. It was supposed to be a serious meeting, but most of the guests either fell asleep or started talking to each other. I think a chair that you use at work ought to be safe and ergonomic. Although sitting is not the healthiest position in the world, your chair should provide some safety. But protection is not the same as comfort. This is what I think, and I"m sure some of you will agree with me.
